The DuPont™ StormRoom™ is an above-ground, in-home storm shelter, designed by the Delaware based DuPont™ corporation and rated to withstand the forces of an EF-5 tornado or a Category 5 hurricane.  It utilizes Kevlar®, the same life-saving technology that is used by police and military to stop bullets, in its wall and ceiling panels to stop the wind-borne debris generated by a tornado.  In addition, the StormRoom® is engineered to stay firmly attached to a concrete slab and to resist crushing, even under extreme weights.
